Click on the Facebook link below the photo to view the transformation of an exciting project - remodeling an old abandoned school into beautiful condominiums! Maple Garden is an eight unit condo conversion of the former Howe School on Hampstead Street in Methuen, MA.
This school was built as a two story, four room structure, on land purchased by the Town of Methuen in 1908. In 1923, a second section was added with four classrooms, a cafeteria and teachers' lounge and resulted in the building existing today. The building remained vacant for sixteen years and fell into disrepair until it was sold to a local contractor for renovations. Maple Garden Condominiums is the result of that effort.
