1. Information We Collect We may collect or access information in a variety of ways when you use the Extension:
   
   A. Information Stored Locally by the Extension Based on Your Input: * Sleeper Username: If you choose to enter your Sleeper username for features like enhanced rostership data, this information is stored locally within the Extension on your device. * Custom Player Ranking Lists: If you import or paste a custom list of player names, this list is stored locally within the Extension on your device. * User Preferences and Settings: We store your preferences for the Extension locally, such as your selected ranking source (e.g., Underdog, FantasyCalc, Custom), toggle states for UI elements (e.g., rostership display), and font size choices.
   
   B. Information Accessed or Collected Automatically by the Extension: * Data from Sleeper API (https://api.sleeper.app/v1/*): To provide core functionality, the Extension fetches: * General NFL player data (names, teams, positions, unique Sleeper player IDs) for accurately matching and displaying players. * Live draft pick data from your current draft to keep the overlay accurate. This data is fetched on demand and may be temporarily cached locally on your device for performance. * Data from Third-Party Ranking Sources (e.g., FantasyCalc, Underdog): When you select a third-party ranking source, the Extension fetches player rankings and Average Draft Position (ADP) data from their respective APIs. This data is cached locally on your device along with timestamps to improve performance and reduce redundant requests. * IP Address: When the Extension communicates with external APIs (Sleeper, third-party ranking sources, or payment processors), your IP address is transmitted as part of standard internet communication. These services may use IP addresses for purposes such as rate limiting, abuse prevention, or determining general geographic region. We do not store your IP address on our servers.
   
   C. Information Collected by Third-Party Payment Processor (Extension Pay):
   
   

   • When you choose to purchase premium features through Extension Pay, they act as our payment processor. While your credit card information is handled directly by Stripe (Extension Pay's payment gateway) and is not stored on our servers or Extension Pay's servers, Extension Pay does collect and store your email address upon a successful payment. This email address is used to identify your paid subscription and grant access to premium features. Users remain anonymous to Extension Pay until a payment is made.

2. How We Use Your Information We use the information we access or that you provide in the following ways:
   
   

   • To Provide and Maintain Extension Functionality:

     • To display player rankings, ADP, and other draft-related information directly within the Sleeper interface.

     • To allow you to use your custom player ranking lists.

     • To remember your settings and preferences for a personalized experience.

     • To fetch and update ranking data from your selected sources.

     • To power features like rostership visualization and stacking suggestions.

   • To Manage Premium Features and Subscriptions:

     • The email address collected by Extension Pay is used to verify your subscription status and provide you with access to premium features of DraftCompass Pro. It may also be used for account-related communications regarding your subscription.

   • To Ensure Security and Prevent Abuse:

     • IP addresses may be used by API providers and payment processors to maintain the security of their services and prevent abuse.

   • To Comply with Legal Obligations:

     • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.

3. How We Share Your Information We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as described below:
   
   

   • With Third-Party Data Providers (Indirectly): When the Extension fetches data from the Sleeper API or other ranking source APIs, your IP address is shared as part of the request, as is standard for internet communication. These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of such data.

   • With Third-Party Payment Processors: When you make a payment for premium features, necessary payment details are transmitted to Extension Pay and its payment gateway, Stripe, to process the transaction. Your credit card information is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored by DraftCompass Pro. Extension Pay stores your email for subscription management, and they have stated they never sell or otherwise give away any data.

   • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Extension, or the public.

   • In Case of Business Transfer: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

4. Data Security
   
   

   • Local Storage: Information such as your Sleeper username (if provided), custom ranking lists, user preferences, and cached ranking data is stored locally on your computer using chrome.storage.local. This means the data primarily resides on your device and is not automatically transmitted to our servers.

   • Transmission Security: When the Extension transmits data to or from external APIs (e.g., Sleeper API, ranking sources, or payment processors), it uses HTTPS or other secure protocols (modern cryptography) to help protect your information in transit.

   • Payment Information Security: Credit card details provided during payment are handled directly by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, and are not stored on our servers or Extension Pay's servers.

5. We take reasonable measures to help protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
   
   

6. Data Retention
   
   

   • Locally Stored Data: Data stored locally via chrome.storage.local (preferences, custom lists, cached data) remains on your device until you clear your browser's storage for the Extension, uninstall the Extension, or the Extension programmatically clears older cached data.

   • Information Collected by Extension Pay: The email address associated with your paid subscription is retained by Extension Pay for as long as your account or subscription is active, or as required by their own data retention policies and applicable laws.

7. Your Choices and Rights
   
   

   • Managing Locally Stored Information: You can typically modify your preferences (e.g., Sleeper username, selected ranking source) directly within the Extension's settings interface. Custom ranking lists can be updated by providing a new list.

   • Deleting Locally Stored Information: You can remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the Extension or by clearing your browser's local storage for the Extension.

   • Managing Payment and Subscription Information: For questions or requests regarding the email address associated with your paid subscription or your payment information, please contact us at the email provided below, and we will assist you or direct you to Extension Pay's support as appropriate.

   • Opting Out: You can stop all collection and use of information by the Extension by uninstalling it.

8. Children's Privacy The Extension is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
   
   

9. Limited Use Disclosure (Compliance with Chrome Web Store User Data Policy) This Extension, DraftCompass Pro, adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
   
   

   • Single Purpose: DraftCompass Pro handles user data only to provide and improve its single purpose of enhancing the fantasy football drafting experience on Sleeper.com by providing an integrated overlay with player rankings and analytical tools, and offering premium features.

   • Allowed Use: We use any personal or sensitive user data collected (such as your Sleeper username for rostership features, custom ranking lists you provide, data fetched from the Sleeper API and other selected ranking source APIs, and your email address for paid subscriptions) solely to provide or improve these user-facing features of the Extension, and to manage your access to premium features.

   • Allowed Transfer: We transfer user data to third parties only under the following circumstances:

     • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.

     • If necessary for security purposes (e.g., to investigate abuse, typically handled by the API providers).

     • To Extension Pay and Stripe for the purpose of processing payments and managing your subscription to premium features.

     • As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, where users will be notified as appropriate or required by law. We do not transfer user data for unrelated purposes or for third-party advertising.

   • Prohibited Advertising: We do not use or transfer user data to serve users personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based advertisements.

   • Prohibited Human Interaction: We do not allow humans to read your personal or sensitive user data unless one of the following limited exceptions applies:

     • We obtain your affirmative consent to access specific data (e.g., for providing technical support if you request it).

     • Access is necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating potential abuse).

     • To comply with applicable laws.

     • Data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations to understand feature usage trends without identifying individuals. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the Extension, on our Chrome Web Store listing, or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
