Hey there, I've been working with the JavaScript SDK for a little while now. Recently, I've been attempting to render some GLTF models inside the SceneView. Managed to do so eventually until I ran into my most recent problem.

Some of the models I wanted to render were on the larger size, so I used draco compression to reduce their size. I'm now noticing that any of the models that have been draco compressed won't render in the scene. I get the following warning in my console log.

[esri.views.3d.layers.graphics.Graphics3DSymbolLayer] gltf loader was not able to load unsupported feature. Required extensions: KHR_draco_mesh_compression

wondering if anyone else has come across this problem before? Any advice for how I can get around it? Thanks!

node_modules does not exist in production. the job of a bundler is to pull out all the parts that your app relies on and then form a bundle. put the decoder into the /public folder and refer to it as /draco/gltf. you can also use the cdn

Another strange thing is, in your project, you checked the draco scripts to be preload. But if you export/download the project, the config.js generated set these scripts to preload = false. Still, if you launch your exported project, the script will be loaded automatically.

So,

(1) if I import and export the original file in Blender it will have the same 3.4MB, so it was Blenders structure that increased the file. curiously when I imported the gltf-transform-draco compressed file in blender and reexported it, it only had the original 2.6MB.

(2) If I use gltf-transform cp to decompress the file it is also bigger: (both steps with gltf-transform, no blender involved)

Despite its size and designation as the eighth-largest constellation, Draco, the "dragon" constellation, is not especially prominent. The name is derived from the Latin term draconem, meaning "huge serpent," and the constellation literally snakes its way through the northern sky.

I'm trying to load a glTF model using draco decoder in glitch.com following the a-frame documentation. You can take a look to the full project and code here. When I run the code locally everything works as expected but when I run the glitch.com app I get an uncaught exception: Object 3 error in the browser console. This is the HTML I'm using: e24fc04721
