Dr. Abro had been honored to have received the Research Excellence Award (Postdoctoral Fellow Category) on 6th May 2025 in a celebration ceremony hosted by Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Aviation and Space Exploration, at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This recognition marks another milestone in my ongoing journey of high-impact research in unmanned autonomous systems, robotics, and control systems. It reflects years of dedication—publishing in top-tier international journals, leading and contributing to global webinars, and guiding both undergraduate and postgraduate students through pioneering research projects. I am thrilled to announce that I have received my 𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐀 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭.  This certification from the @General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Saudi Arabia, enables me to operate Recreational Civil Small Unmanned Systems, thereby further advancing my research in aerial robotics and UAVs. 🛸📡I am eager to apply this knowledge to advanced UAV initiatives and innovations. This qualification aligns with my position as a researcher in Aerial Robotics & Control at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals—KFUPM's Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Aviation and Space Exploration. In this capacity, we improve AI-driven drone autonomy, swarm intelligence, and advanced flight control systems. With the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) A1-A3 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) certification, I am thrilled to enhance my drone expertise by adding another layer. This milestone is not merely a credential; it represents progress towards safer, more intelligent, and regulation-compliant UAV operations within the developing aerospace sector. Gold Triumph: IoT and Robotics Power Sustainable Agriculture Innovation at SIRAC 2024

As a Robotics and IoT-enabled Systems researcher, my expertise contributed to designing and implementing the IoT-based real-time monitoring system, ensuring precise control of water quality and other related parameters. Abdallah and my MS student Mohssen E. Elshaar from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication and collaboration in advancing underactuated aerial control techniques. Dr. Abro has been elevated to the prestigious grade of IEEE Senior Member, a distinction held by roughly 10% of IEEE’s 450,000+ members. The recognition signals extensive professional experience, documented achievements of significance, and sustained excellence in the field. Dr. Abro had been Awarded the Appreciation Shield by IEEE Oman Section 

Mr. Abro had been invited to deliver his special session on "Adaptive Control Solutions for Underactuated Drone" at IEEE International Conference on Innovative Engineering Sciences & Technological Research (ICIESTR-2024) held in University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Muscat Oman from 14 to 15th May 2024. Dr. Abro's talk had been appreciated very well by the audience and thus, he had been presented with token of appreciation on closing ceremony.
