X-Gal Stock Solution

1. Weigh 30 mg of X-Gluc

2. Add 1.5 mL of DMF.

3. Vortex to dissolve completely

4. Wrap in foil and store in the dark at -20°C. Stocks may be kept for 1 year

IPTG – 1 M (100 x) Stock Solution

1. Weigh 2.383 g of IPTG

2. Add 10 ml sterile H2O. Dissolve completely.

3. Prewet a 0.2 µm syringe filter by drawing through 5-10 ml of sterile H2O and discard water.

4. Store in 1 ml aliquots at -20°C for up to 1 year.
