Biography

Tehmina Amjad is currently working as an Associate Teaching Professor at Silicon Valley campus of Northeastern University, California, USA. Previously she has served as an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science as well as Incharge of Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan. She received her PhD degree in 2015 with distinction in Computer Science from IIUI under a split PhD program where she conducted her research work at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana, USA. She was the first female PhD graduate of Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. 

She has been actively engaged in academic and research activities of various levels for the last 17 years. Dr. Tehmina has published her research work in leading impact factor journals in the field of Data Science, Information retrieval, Semantics, Digital Libraries and Scientometrics.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan recognizes Dr. Tehmina as HEC Approved Supervisor since 2016.
