We actively led modeling efforts on the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in Germany, Ischgl (Austria), India, and Italy using data-driven adaptive modeling (2020–2021). We contributed to key political decisions in Germany, including advice to former Chancellor Angela Merkel and German Federal states, influencing policies on restrictions and healthcare system usage based on regular analysis. We provided strategic inputs to combat the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in India and received acknowledgments from the NITI Aayog and the Prime Minister’s Office.
