I am a computational biologist currently working with studying RNA-protein interactions to study RNA modifications like m6A, m5C, and their regulatory role in mRNA stability, gene expression and diseases. I also work with single cell RNAseq analysis of healthy tissues and tumor microenvironment. We regularly look for changes in cell-cell communication, switching cell phenotypes and transition trajectories in order to uncover factors responsible for creation of pre-metastatic and metastatic niches. I possess strong analytical skills and enjoy biological data analysis.
In my PhD, I developed an algorithm that predicted intrinsic transcription termination sites in bacterial genomes and created a public database, INTERPIN, that provides these predictions as well as visualization at genomic level. High throughput data analysis and computation power can be a huge asset to speed up biological data interpretation. I have currently been working on applying ML techniques to find pattern in biological data and data analysis to find meaning patterns. I aim to build bioinformatics pipelines which can be used by biologists and medicine professionals in real time .Â
