Dr. Mohammed Sohaib Raza (PDF Ongoing: Joined in Oct 2025):
He hails from Hyderabad, Telangana. He has completed his Ph.D from IIT Ropar, Punjab, India. He has started working in the area of Thermal influences in energy storage devices and Microfluidics presently. He is interested in travel, reading and exploring novel research problems in Mechanical Engineering.
Mrs. Laxmi Priya Kasibhatla (Ph.D Ongoing: Joined in Aug 2025):
She hails from Machilipatnam , Andhra Pradesh. She has just begun her work in the area of Transport in Heterogeneous Porous Media.
Mr. Uppu Nagaraju (Ph.D Ongoing: Joined in Jan 2026):
He hails from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Arghya Cakravarty, EEE Dept. SRM University-AP is his Co-guide. He will be exploring research related to Thermal Management of Rechargeable Energy Storage Devices.

Last known affiliation: Research Associate at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, Telangana State, INDIA
He hails from Gulbarga, Karnataka and has completed his M.Tech (Engg. Analysis & Design) from VTU, Karnataka. He has worked on flow around the MAV's using open source code at National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL-CTFD division), Bengaluru for his Masters dissertation. Just before joining our lab (Feb 2021) he has worked in industry as an analyst for CAE area. Presently we are trying to explore (experimental + numerical) flow through porous media. His hobbies include reading, travel and discussion.
Dr. Kamala Kumari Duru (Defended thesis in Dec 2023):

She hails from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She worked under guidance of Dr. Sujith Kalluri, ECE department and me as co-guide. Her work was based on Fast Charging of Li-ion batteries for E-mobility applications. She has successfully defended her thesis in Dec 2023.
Mr. Surya Teja Vanam (M.Tech Thermal Engineering- Jul 2023):
Last known affiliation: Presently preparing for Civil Services UPSC
He hails from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. He worked with me and our collaborator Dr. Tapan Kumar Hota, Mathematics Department. His work was based on exploring the 3D viscous fingering simulations for porous media applications. He has successfully defended her M.Tech Thermal Engineering in July 2023.
