I welcome research proposals in the following areas, with a particular focus on Climate Resilience and Sustainable Infrastructure:
Infrastructure Resilience & Climate Adaptation: Managing slope stability, earthworks, and foundations under extreme weather patterns.
Energy Geotechnics: Soil-structure interaction for offshore wind, geothermal foundations, and radioactive waste disposal.
Smart Geotechnics: Application of fiber-optic sensing, AI, and remote sensing in monitoring tunnels and deep excavations.
Disaster Mitigation: Bio-mediated soil improvement and nature-based solutions for landslide and earthquake risk reduction.
