Dr. Showkat Ahmad Malik is a dedicated cancer biology researcher specializing in molecular signaling pathways, tumor microenvironments, and metastasis. His work primarily explores the regulation of mTORC2 signaling through Ras-mSIN1 interactions, with significant implications for targeted therapies in breast cancer.

Dr. Malik has contributed to high-impact publications in journals like OncoImmunology, Oncogene, and BMC Cancer, advancing our understanding of macrophages in tumor progression, mitochondrial dynamics in cancer cells, and the role of the hypoxic tumor microenvironment.

A key focus of his research is the development of selective inhibitors for cancer-promoting pathways, including his work on physically decoupling Ras from mSIN1 to inhibit mTORC2, offering potential for novel cancer therapies.
