Spatial Data Analysis

I am interested in algorithms for summarising spatial data. This includes new methods to solve old problems and new statistical tools. Lately I have mostly been interested in the Valeriepieris Circle1 - the smallest circle containing a fraction of the population (traditionally 50%). 

One can use this circle in a variety of ways, for example, to find city boundaries. 

Apart from this I am interested in geocoding and have some ongoing projects on this. I am mostly interested in applications to ecological and demographic data and have some old and forthcoming papers on this.

1 The Valeriepieris circle was proposed by Ken Myers. Valeriepieris was his username on Reddit where he first posted the circle for the whole world on r/MapPorn. Apparently Valerie Pieris was his, at the time, sister-in-law's name.
