This work demonstrates a synergistic strategy that combines Ni single atoms and surface oxygen vacancies to optimize the CO₂ reduction pathway on Bi₂WO₆. This dual modification effectively lowers the energy barrier for COOH intermediate formation and dehydration while facilitating CO desorption, enhancing photocatalytic CO₂ reduction efficiency.
