Monika Verma earned her Ph.D. at the Institute of Social Research and Cultural Studies, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (R.O.C.). On August 21, 2023, she completed her final doctoral defense, marking a significant milestone in her academic journey. In particular, Monika's doctoral dissertation centers around the plight of Rohingya refugees in India. With a meticulous approach, she investigates the multifaceted hardships faced by this marginalized community. By examining their experiences, struggles, and aspirations, Monika aims to shed light on the complex social, political, and humanitarian dimensions surrounding the Rohingya refugee crisis in India.
