Dr. Mahamuda Shaik is working as an Associate professor in the Department of Physics, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF), Andhra Pradesh, India since 2007. She received her Master’s Degree (2006), M.Phil in physics (2010) from Acharya Nagarjuna University and Doctoral degree (2015) from K L E F, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, respectively. She has authored 90 research articles Published in highly reputed international journals (SCI-Elsevier & Springer). She has successfully completed two sponsored research projects sanctioned by DST, Government of India under women scientist scheme (2012 – 2015/ 15 Lakhs) and Early career research award (DST-SERB/2016-2019/52 Lakhs). She is now working on one more Research Project funded by DST-ANRF under CRG Grant of worth 30 Lakhs. She is also acting as Project Implementation Group member for DST-FIST project of worth 1.07 Crores and DST-PURSE Project of worth 7 Crores. Under her supervision, 3 Ph.D’s were awarded, 4 more research scholars are perusing their Ph.D. She has also published 7 patents. In her research work, she is working on optical glasses and phosphors/Nanophosphors that can be used for Laser, optical fiber and solid-state lightening applications. Her research citations are more than 3390 and h-index: 33, i10-index:57 (Google Scholar). She is also acting as reviewer for many international journals of high repute. she has received many awards and recognitions during her academic, teaching and research career like Best Woman Scientist Award and Best young faculty award, Best Teacher Award for (KLEF-2015-16, 2016-17, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2022-23 and 2023-24), Early Career Research Award (DST-SERB-2016-2019), Young Women Achiever’s Award, Woman Scientist (WOS-A) (DST-2012).
