I am Karamveer Kaur, an astrophysicist in the Theory Group at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru. My research interests span the dynamics of star clusters and galaxies, accretion disks, and astrophysical transients. A major focus of my research is on nuclear star clusters—the dense stellar systems located at the centres of galaxies. Their exceptionally high stellar densities, often in the presence of a massive black hole, create a unique environment for a wide range of astrophysical phenomena and transients across both electromagnetic and gravitational-wave channels.
