RESEARCH WORK
Selected for the Summer Faculty Research Fellowship Program 2011 at IIT Delhi. Carried out research work on “Free Space Optical Communication” under the mentorship of Dr. V. K. Jain, Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi, from May to July 2011.
COURSES TAKEN DURING MS
Wireless & Mobile cellular communications, Fiber optic communication systems,VHDL/FPGA microprocessor design, VLSI technology and applications, Computer-aided engineering of digital systems, Computer and data communications, ATM, OOAD.
PROJECTS CARRIED OUT DURING ENGINEERING STUDIES
Designed an 8-bit ALU using the MagicVLSI layout tool (on Linux platform), as a part of my MS program.
Infrared Voice Link at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), India. Period - 6 months. Designed an infrared voice link which consisted of both the transmitter and receiver modules. It transmitted the voice signal by modulating the infrared light signals and was efficiently reproducing it at the receiving end. We designed and developed the modulator, demodulator and amplifiers in our setup.
Multiwavelength Recording Photometer at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), India. Period - 6 months. This project was carried out as part of my B.E. program. This instrument was to be used for recording the wavelengths of light over a specific time interval. It consisted of eight optical lenses on a wheel whose rotation was controlled by a stepper motor. I had designed the power supply circuit for this project using the circuit designing software "ORCAD". Carried out the integration of all the cards to build the entire module which controlled the rotation of the stepper motor.
