2022

✔ May/22. Our paper "Synthesis of Donor-Acceptor Copolymers via Eco-Friendly Direct Arialtion" has been published in the peer-reviewed, open-access journal Energies.

✔ Jan./22. I took two weeks of swimming classes and keep improving my technique!

2021

✔ July/21. I start working at Cristo Rey Richmond High School as a STEM teacher and Director of the afterschool program.

✔ March/21. Our paper Ion Mobility Spectrometry Characterization of the Intermediate Hydrogen-Containing Gold Cluster Au₇(PPh₃)₇H₅²⁺ has been published in J. Phys. Chem. Lett.

✔ Jan/21. I started teaching the class Introduction to Programming for Chemical and Life Science Engineering (CLSE 115) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

✔ Jan/21. I started teaching as a Science Instructor (Honors Chemistry) at the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Johns Hopkins University.

2020

✔ Aug/20. I finished developing Curriculum activities for Precalculus and Calculus for HCPS (~80 activities, ~300 pages/google slides/forms/drawings!).

✔ July/20. My ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Grant to enhance the teaching and learning of chemistry has been selected.

✔ June/20. Miriam Ayala defended her Ph. D. dissertation on the Eco-friendly synthesis of an organic solar cell project and she received her degree of Doctor on Chemistry with honors.

✔ May./20. I completed the Faculty Readiness Training for Online Teaching (John Tyler Community College)

✔ Mar./20. I passed the Physics PRAXIS test (125 questions in 130 min!). My teaching license will now have this endorsement.

✔ Mar./20. Our paper "Eco-friendly synthesis of an organic solar cell" has been published in Polymer.

✔ Jan./20. Our HTA Recruitment Video 2020 is in YouTube

✔ Jan./20. Our Proposal Solar for Students Program supported by Dominion Energy and The National Energy Education Development Project (NEED) has been selected!

2019

✔ Oct./19. I have been awarded the 2019 Chancellor's Minority Professional Teaching Fellowship by VCCS.

✔ Aug./19. I started teaching General Chemistry II (Lab/Lecture) at John Tyler Community College.

✔ July/19. Alexandra Sova has been accepted to Drexel University College of Medicine

✔ July/19. I taught a Chemical Training Course for Chemical Plant Operators and Shift Foremen for Polykon Manufacturing, LLC in Sandston, VA.
