Krug, Ch. 12 (I should have assigned this for last week—I originally had it for Week 11, but some of it will be helpful with our WCAG testing, though other parts are outdated)
Team usability testing and WCAG report, formatted to share with GRK
I will create and share a report template
In class: Building the new sitemap and starting the content inventory using the Content Plan spreadsheet
Task 1: Give every existing GRK page a row, using your team's page assignments. Complete the seven "Week 9" columns.
Task 2: Add a row for every new page your team proposes, choose "New Page", and leave "Current URL" blank.
Task 3: In Teams, add these tasks to your channel's buckets with due dates for each.
Creating tasks in Teams is simple in your channel. In the channel menu, click the plus button and add a blank page. At the bottom, click Task list. This adds a Loop component to your page. Enter your team's tasks under Task.
In the Assigned to column, assign the various tasks to different people in the group as you see fit. Choose an appropriate Due date for each task.
Under Bucket, select (or create) the appropriate bucket for each task. (You should be able to use the existing buckets in your channel.) In my example, I put them all in Work Stockpile because I haven't started any of them yet. (I had to create my Buckets from scratch.)
The planning board will appear different depending on whether you view it in the app or a browser window. At left, I show what it looks like (1) in the app; then, (2) in the browser in Grid mode and (3) in Board mode. Board mode shows general buckets: "Not started," "In progress," and "Completed."
I assigned myself all the tasks because I didn't want to add anyone else to my fake tasks! Your team's list should distribute the tasks among team members, obviously.
To come!
