Government of India's UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION (UGC) Recommendation / NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY (NEP) 2020 Directives / NATIONAL CURRICULUM & CREDIT FRAMEWORK (NCCF) states -

All Undergraduate Courses (General & Professional) will be of Four Years throughout India, however Exit Options are there -

• After Two Semesters (1st Year), if exited, Certificate in Relevant Course will be Awarded.

• After Four Semesters (2nd Year), if exited, Diploma in Relevant Course will be Awarded.

• After Six Semesters (3rd Year), if exited, Graduation Degree (Pass) in Relevant Course will be Awarded.

• After Eight Semesters (4th Year), when fully completed, Graduation Degree (Honours with Research) in Relevant Course will be Awarded.

Interesting Fact / Point to Note -

• Those who will complete Full Four Years of Undergraduate Degree Course will be eligible for 1 Year  MASTERS Degree Course for Further Higher Studies.

• However those who will Exit after 6 Semesters (3 Years) of Undergraduate Degree Course will have to do 2 Years MASTERS Degree Course for Further Higher Studies.

• In fact those who will complete Full Four Years of Undergraduate Degree Course will also be eligible for Direct Enrolment of PhD. Degree Programme for Further Higher Studies.
