HIV Molecular Virology, Epidemiology, and Bioinformatics
Dr. Guinevere Q. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York. The Lee lab studies global HIV-1 genetic diversity and its impact on disease progression, treatment outcomes, and curative interventions. Our research program has three main arms:
HIV molecular epidemiology, with a focus on drug resistance and its association in clinical outcomes especially in non-B subtype HIV-1
HIV proviral DNA and transcriptome RNA intra- and inter-host genetic diversity, and their implications in HIV cure research
Deep sequencing assay and bioinformatics pipeline development to capture viral diversity
Our lab currently has six members. We are located on the 8th floor of the Belfer Research Building, Weill Cornell Medicine, 413 E 69th St, New York, NY 10021.
