S-K-I-N! A 4-letter word that carries so much weight! I teach my students that skin’s main function is protection, but for centuries, my skin color has been a target. My DNA is 99.9% identical to yours, but that 0.1% is always the topic of discussion. 

As a teacher, I strive towards EQUITY vs EQUALITY and it is my mission to continue to push that message in and outside of the classroom.
