Dr. Deepannita Chakraborty completed her B.Sc. degree in Applied Sciences from PSG College of Technology in the year 2012. She did her M.Sc. in Physics from the Department of Nuclear Physics, University of Madras in the year 2014. Following her interest in magnetic properties and nanoparticles, she joined as a project fellow under UGC-DAE-CSR sponsored project at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in 2016. She extended her project work as Ph.D. research work and got her doctorate degree from VIT, Vellore in 2019. She received the Best All-rounder award during her undergraduate program and the Best Researcher award from VIT during her Ph.D. tenure. She cleared TN-SET in the year 2016. She has published 12 research papers in international journals and presented at 5 international conferences. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor, Physics at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore. Her area of specialization is dilute magnetic semiconductors and garnets for water remediation, gas sensing, and spintronic applications. She has total 3.5 years of teaching experience. She is serving as a reviewer in Applied Physics and in the Journal of Nanoparticle Research.
