Multimedia Information Analysis Laboratory

The Multimedia Information Analysis Laboratory (Mialab) was founded in 2004 by Dr. Sen-ching Samson Cheung. Dr. Cheung is a IEEE Fellow (2020), a Professor (Full) at the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at the University of Kentucky, Lexington KY, and an Adjunct Professor (Full) at the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Davis. Our lab has members in both universities.

The mission of MIA Lab is to build efficient, robust and secure systems to analyze, process and communicate multimedia information. Our research results are widely disseminated in many scholarly publications.

Since 2004, 10 courses have been developed and more than 40 research team members have graduated from the Mialab. We are grateful to all the financial supports received over the years, and hope that our efforts have made the world a slightly better place.
