From the Arctic & Antarctic to Your Neighborhood: Why I Became a Realtor

My interest in real estate began early—watching my parents negotiate passionately over our first home in Toronto, Canada, after moving from England. The excitement and hope in finding that perfect place left a lasting impression on me.

As an adult, I had the incredible opportunity to assist a developer in Cairns, Australia, witnessing raw hillside land transform into thoughtfully planned home sites that blended seamlessly with the natural landscape. This experience deeply reinforced my belief that property is far more than just a place to live—it’s a legacy to be created and passed down through generations.

Throughout my career as a scientist, traveling between the Arctic and Antarctic, I absorbed a rich variety of architectural styles from cultures around the world. These experiences have expanded my vision of what a home can be—unique, meaningful, and inspired by its surroundings.

Together, these early influences fuel my passion every day to help clients sell and find homes that are not only functional and beautiful but also meaningful spaces where memories and legacies are built.    Dr. Caren Garrity - License# SL3630961, Janet Coulter Realty Inc.
