Explanation of Cannon Universe

The universe that my characters live in is very much the same of the world we currently live in, just typically more violent. Historical events, political events, wars, etc... are all the same.

The only real difference is that it is very normal for people to wear masks like the ones my characters wear. While European Police typically do not carry guns (or are outfitted like they're going to war), this universe makes an exception to this for the sake of adding an extra level of danger and playing into the more violent world the characters live in.
