Bibhash Nath holds a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, India, with research focused on aqueous geochemistry, wetland hydrology, and the dynamics of environmental contaminants in acidified wetlands. His work explores how seasonal hydrology influences the transport of heavy metals and nutrients to coastal waters. Dr. Nath has extensive experience in environmental sciences, predictive data analytics, remote sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has applied geospatial machine learning techniques to analyze remotely sensed data, studying phenomena such as urban land surface albedo variations and the spatio-temporal patterns of groundwater arsenic distribution.
Dr. Nath is highly ambitious in research and dissemination, driven by a passion for innovation and impactful communication. He currently works at the NYC Department of Emergency Management in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Nath has co-authored 76 peer-reviewed journal articles, with a total citation count exceeding 4,500 (h-index is 38).
