Dr Arul Kashmir grew up in Madurai, called Temple City in Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained his bachelor's (2007) and master's (2009) in Chemistry from The American College in Madurai. Later, he moved to CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL) to obtain his Ph.D. degree (2016). There he involved in developing the Polymer Electronics Devices under the guidance of Dr K. Krishnamoorthy. After a short postdoctoral stay with Professor Gyoujin Cho at the Department of Printed Electronics and Engineering, Suncheon National University, South Korea, He moved to Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea (2017) as a Korean Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow. At Ewha he worked on developing wearable sensor materials and devices for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Then, he started his independent career as a Scientist at the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), a Unique Research and Development Institute under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Currently, his research group is focusing on developing wearable biomedical devices for real-time health monitoring and sensing applications. He has been received a multilateral funding support (along with fellow Scientist from CMET-T, IIITMK, Kerala) from MeitY (Government of India) for setting up the Centre of Excellence in Intelligent IoT Sensors.
