Dr. Anish Pandey completed his doctorate (Ph.D.) in robotics and control (Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Design Specialization) from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India, in July 2016. His research interests are in Bio-Inspired (Nature-Inspired) Optimization Methods, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, and Evolutionary Algorithms based robot motion and orientation control. He has published many papers (25 SCI/SCIE and 28 Scopus/WoS) in Various Peer-Reviewed International Journals, Book Chapters, and International Conference Proceedings. Moreover, he has received grants on 57 Indian patents and filed 43 patents. His Google Scholar citations have been 2954 with 20 h-index and 36 i10-index. His Scopus citations have been 1707 with 14 h-index with 79 documents in Scopus database. He has more than eight years post-Ph.D. experience in teaching and research. Currently, he is working as a Professor (Assistant II, Level-11) at the School of Mechanical Engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University, An Institute of Eminence, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has been teaching many UG and PG (Machine Design Branch) subjects like Machine Design, Mechanics of Solids, Engineering Graphics, Finite Element Method, Mechatronics, Mechanical Vibration and Noise Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing System (AI-based), Mobile and Autonomous Robot, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0 Technologies for the last eight years. He has guided seven M. Tech. projects, many B. Tech. group projects, and two Ph.D. Scholars. Presently, he focuses on designing and fabricating Autonomous Cleaning Robots, Roller Walker Robot, Articulated Robots, and NAO (Humanoid) Robot. Furthermore, he has completed one industry sponsored consultancy project, and he is working on three sponsored projects received from TIH IIT Guwahati. Dr. Anish Pandey is the Associate Editor of an esteemed and SCI high impact factor (5.2, Q1) reputed journal in the field of robotics and control (Journal of Field Robotics, Wiley) since 19-October-2022. He is the potential reviewer of many prestigious journals like Elsevier, IEEE Transactions, Wiley, Emerald, Springer, SAGE, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, International Journal of Humanoid Robotics, Robotica, etc. He is the editorial member of three esteemed journals like the International Journal of Advance Robotics & Expert Systems (JARES), the Journal of Mechanical and Manufacturing Process, and Artificial Intelligence Advances (AIA).
