On September 5th, 2025, I attended the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Executive Speaker Series hosted at the KSU Center, Room 401. This session featured two distinguished speakers:

The event provided valuable insights into the role of HFMA in the healthcare industry, the benefits of professional membership, and the various certifications available to support career advancement in healthcare finance and management.
I had the opportunity to learn directly from industry leaders about emerging trends, professional development pathways, and the importance of financial literacy in healthcare operations. This session also offered a chance to network with experts and explore membership opportunities supported by the university.
Attending this event strengthened my understanding of healthcare financial management and reinforced my commitment to continuous learning within the healthcare and informatics fields.
On November 14, 2025, I attended the second Executive Speaker Series of the semester, featuring distinguished partners from Arnall Golden Gregory LLP (AGG)—a leading law firm with more than 200 attorneys across Atlanta and Washington, D.C. AGG is known for its “business sensibility” approach, offering strategic guidance across healthcare, technology, corporate finance, global commerce, life sciences, and numerous other sectors.

The speakers shared real‑world perspectives on navigating complex business environments and emphasized the importance of legal literacy for professionals working in healthcare and informatics.
Attending this session strengthened my understanding of the intersection between healthcare, technology, and regulatory frameworks and highlighted the critical role legal expertise plays in shaping organizational success.
On Monday, November 17, 2025, I attended the AMIA Annual Symposium held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia. The AMIA Symposium is recognized as the world’s leading gathering for professionals in biomedical and health informatics, bringing together researchers, clinicians, public health experts, and innovators from around the globe.
This year’s theme, “Modernizing Informatics Across the Spectrum: Research, Clinical, and Public Health Systems,” focused on advancing data-driven healthcare, strengthening public health data systems, and exploring emerging technologies shaping the future of informatics.
During my one-day participation, I had the opportunity to:
Engage with cutting-edge discussions on health information systems and clinical innovation
Learn from leading informaticians about current research trends and real-world applications
Explore how modern informatics is transforming healthcare delivery, analytics, and public health infrastructure
