We study quantum information using professor Taehyeon Kim's lectures on youtube. Junho Kime serves as the study manager, and students take turns acting as the host. During the first to third weeks, we studied Linear Algebra, followed by two weeks of Quantum Mechanics. In the remaining weeks, we focus on Quantum Information.
We hold a seminar every Friday 8.p.m to 9.p.m. Within the student chapter, we invite members who have knowledge or research experience in quantum information to serve as mentors and explain related topics in a basic seminar. The topics are Quantum Algorithms, QML, Quantum Cryptography, and Quantum Hardware, etc.
In Quantum Key Distribution Study, We will study first about the basic QKD protocol such as BB84, E91 and SSP. Next, We will also learn about the types of attacks that eavesdroppers can perform and the recently researched protocols that have been developed to address them.
Optics study aims to foster an understanding of polarization and light, and to lay the foundation for studying quantum information theory. The mentor is Chanwoo Kim, and there are three participants. The study is held every Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM and is conducted in a lecture format. The book is Hecht's Optics.
