New Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ahmednagar established by the parent institue Ahmednagar Jilha Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Ahmednagar in 1970 is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and registered under section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC. The total number of programmes offered at present is more than seventy, which include thirty under graduate, twenty six post graduate, nine research centres. Some of the prominent academic programmes offered include Computer Science, Micro-Biology, Nano-Technology, Wine Technology, Animation, Music, Computer Applications, Vocational Courses and nine Research Centers leading to Ph.D. degree. The library is well stacked with more than 1.35 lakh books and 157 journals. The college is at the forefront in the field of sports and games. Many students have secured gold, silver, bronze medals at university; state, national and international level sports events.
