If you want a dedicated sleep aid that turns your pillow into a private soundstage, choose Dpofirs Pillow Speaker; if you need rechargeable sports earbuds for exercise with an open-ear design and all-day battery life, choose TOZO O2. These two devices solve fundamentally different problems: one is built to help you drift off without disturbing a partner, while the other is engineered to keep you aware of your surroundings while you move.
• Dpofirs Pillow Speaker: Best for insomnia relief and shared sleeping spaces with its bone conduction technology and 20-hour battery life, but it lacks waterproofing and isn't designed for active movement.
• TOZO O2: The clear winner for outdoor activity with IPX6 waterproofing, dual-axis adjustability, and 42 hours of total playtime, though it is not intended to be used as a bedside sleep speaker.
• Who buys what: Choose Dpofirs for quiet nights and bedtime routines; pick TOZO O2 for running, gym sessions, or commuting where situational awareness matters.
The Dpofirs Pillow Speaker is a niche product that prioritizes privacy and comfort over raw audio power. Its core function relies on conduction technology that vibrates through the pillow to deliver sound directly to your ears. This means you can listen to music, audiobooks, or white noise without opening your mouth or using traditional speakers that project sound waves across the room. If you share a bed with a light sleeper, this feature alone might justify the purchase. You get a personal listening experience that doesn't force your partner to hear your late-night podcast or relaxation track.
The hardware is specifically tailored for rest. With a maximum output power of 180 watts and a frequency response ranging up to 20 GHz, it delivers deep bass and stereo sound that feels immersive when lying down. The device features a timing function allowing you to set automatic shutdowns after 30, 60, or 90 minutes. This is crucial for anyone who falls asleep easily once the music starts; it ensures the device doesn't run all night, draining the battery unnecessarily. The unit itself weighs only 0.08 kg and measures roughly 5.2 inches wide by 2 inches high, making it compact enough to slide under most standard pillows without creating an uncomfortable lump.

However, this product has strict limitations regarding its use case. It is explicitly not waterproof, so it cannot handle sweat or rain. The design focuses entirely on static environments like a bedroom, living room, or a camping tent where you are stationary. While it supports Bluetooth 5.3 for a stable connection within a 10-meter range, the lack of water resistance makes it unsuitable for any physical activity. It also offers two modes: bone induction for private listening and conventional speaker mode for sharing sound with others in the room, but its primary strength remains its ability to help adults and babies fall asleep faster in a stress-free environment.
In stark contrast, the TOZO O2 is built for motion. These open-ear wireless earbuds utilize a unique dual-axis design that allows for both horizontal and vertical adjustment. This flexibility enables them to adapt to 99% of ear shapes and sizes, ensuring a secure fit that stays put during vigorous movement. Whether you are sprinting on a treadmill, cycling on a busy street, or lifting weights, the multi-angle adjustable comfort fit prevents them from slipping out. The open-ear structure is key here; it keeps your ear canal free, allowing you to hear traffic, sirens, and gym announcements while still enjoying your music.
Sound quality is delivered through a 14.2mm large-size dynamic driver paired with ORIGX acoustic technology. This combination aims to overcome the typical sound leakage issues of open-back designs by optimizing layering and bass depth. Despite the open design, the earbuds include DSP call noise cancellation technology that filters out up to 90% of background noise during calls. This makes them practical for taking work calls in noisy offices or crowded subways without needing to pause your workout or remove the earbuds. The device also supports dual connectivity, letting you pair with two phones simultaneously, which is a massive convenience for switching between work and personal devices instantly.
Battery life is another area where the TOZO O2 shines for active users. With a total battery life of up to 42 hours including the slim charging case, these headphones are built for extended trips. You get up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge, which covers even the longest training days. Crucially, they carry an IPX6 waterproof rating thanks to an ultra-light nano coating. This protects the electronics against heavy sweat and light rain, making them reliable companions for runners and hikers. The inclusion of a TOZO app further enhances the experience by offering five preset EQ settings to tailor the audio to specific genres or scenarios, giving you control over how the music sounds without compromising safety or comfort.
• Best for Sleep and Insomnia Relief: The Dpofirs Pillow Speaker wins decisively here. Its vibration-based delivery and automatic shut-off timers are designed specifically to help users fall asleep, whereas the TOZO O2 requires wearing earpieces that some find uncomfortable for long-term lying down.
• Best for Exercise and Sweat Resistance: The TOZO O2 is the only logical choice for workouts. With its IPX6 waterproof rating and secure dual-axis fit, it handles sweat and rain effortlessly, while the Dpofirs is strictly dry-use equipment.
• Best for Battery Longevity: The TOZO O2 offers 42 hours of total playtime compared to the Dpofirs' 20 hours, making it better for travelers or those who forget to charge their devices frequently.
• Best for Privacy in Shared Spaces: The Dpofirs Pillow Speaker uses conduction technology to keep sound inside the pillow, ensuring no sound leaks to others in the room, a feature the open-ear TOZO O2 cannot match.
• Best for Situational Awareness: The TOZO O2 keeps your ears open to the environment, which is critical for safe driving or outdoor running, whereas the Dpofirs isolates you from external sounds.
• Best for Call Quality in Noise: The TOZO O2 includes professional DSP noise cancellation for calls, filtering out 90% of background noise, while the Dpofirs lacks specific call-focused noise reduction features.
• Best for Adjustable Fit: The TOZO O2 features a unique dual-axis design that adapts to 99% of ear shapes, whereas the Dpofirs is a fixed-size pillow speaker that relies on positioning rather than ear adaptation.
• Best for Budget-Friendly Sleep Solutions: If your goal is solely to improve sleep quality without disturbing a partner, the Dpofirs provides a specialized solution that general earbuds simply cannot replicate.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I would personally buy the TOZO O2 if my primary goal was to stay active. For exercise, having rechargeable sports earbuds for exercise that don't block out traffic noise is a non-negotiable safety feature. The TOZO O2 offers superior versatility with its 42-hour battery, waterproofing, and adjustable fit, making it suitable for everything from the gym to the office. However, if your life revolves around rest and you struggle with insomnia, the Dpofirs Pillow Speaker is a brilliant tool for creating a private, peaceful sleep environment. Ultimately, the TOZO O2 is the more versatile daily driver, while the Dpofirs serves a very specific, valuable purpose for nighttime relaxation.
While the TOZO O2 fits securely and is safe for driving due to open-ear design, the Dpofirs is explicitly listed for adult age ranges. For best kids headphones for exercise, the TOZO O2's durable build and safety features make it a strong candidate, provided the fit is comfortable for smaller ears.
Using it outside in wet conditions could damage the internal components. Stick to indoor or sheltered environments for this device.
The TOZO O2 uses a 14.2mm dynamic driver and ORIGX technology to deliver rich bass and clear highs suitable for dynamic environments. The Dpofirs focuses on deep bass and stereo conduction specifically optimized for lying down, prioritizing volume isolation over high-fidelity spatial audio.
Yes, both rely on Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. The TOZO O2 also supports a companion app for EQ adjustments and resetting the device, while the Dpofirs relies on touch controls for basic functions like timing and playback.
