DPDR (Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder) is a mental state in which you feel disconnected from reality or your own body (or both). You feel like you are observing your own actions from "the outside", like a movie. Other possible symptoms include:
Autopilot (Doing actions that you didn't really think through or want to do)
Feeling like your speech is slurrish (even though that doesn't have to be the case)
Brain Fog (not being able to think clearly)
Seeing things that seem to have a proportionally incorrect size (too small or too big).
Feeling like you are observing yourself from too close or far
Feeling like everything is "flat"
Not recognizing yourself in the mirror (More of a Depersonalization-symptom than a Derealization-symptom)
Not properly associating objects with the shadows they cast
Feeling like memories didn't actually ever occur or occured differently
Colors looking different than they used to look
Please note that there are DPDR symptoms that aren't in this list and that you could have or not have any of these symptoms without any pattern or correlation.Â
