Brian Head first joined Downtown Escondido Toastmasters in 1999 and recently rejoined after a four-year break. He had a thirty-year career with Escondido Adult School and retired as principal in 2020. Originally from the UK, he arrived in the USA in 1989 from Bermuda, where he had been teaching for seven years. Head is a firm believer in the value of public speaking and communication skills and that Toastmasters is the place to develop those skills. He is proud to serve as the current Club President with the goal of continuing to see the club and its members thrive and prosper.
A native of Escondido, Beth works for a company that oversees and manages health savings accounts (HSAs) and other employer-sponsored healthcare benefits. In her off hours, she (mostly) stays out of mischief by reading, knitting, and hiking with her adorable dog, Gracie.
Gina Seashore is an educator, group facilitator and musician who works in the community to bring people together and create harmony through the arts. Needless to say, she uses all the speaking tools she’s learned in Toastmasters on a daily basis. As a lifelong learner and longtime Toastmaster, she continues to acquire new skills and practice old ones. She has also added to her “toolbox” by taking advantage of the leadership paths and opportunities the organization offers. When not at work or Toastmasters, she loves to travel, hike, read and garden.
Tanya Aubin joined Downtown Escondido Toastmasters in 2021 in an effort to improve her public speaking and presentation skills. Professionally, Tanya works as the creative manager at the University of San Diego's College of Arts and Sciences, where she handles digital and print communications, maintains the brand and identity of the college, edits storytelling videos, and coordinates special events. During her free time, she likes to hike, travel, sing and seek out new experiences.
