Fix Downloads Path Provider Flutter

path_provider will probably undergo some changes soon, there are some open issues:

I have a feature in app where user and download some content he generated. The data comes from assets and dart file string. I want it to get downloaded to Android's downloads directory. The plugin downloads_path_provider_28 uses a deprecated api or embedding. I wanted to know about any plugin that can replace it and work well. I already tried flutter_file_downloader, file_saver, external_path. But none works for my case. _path_provider_28 works fine but it might not work in future flutter versions thus i want a newer plugin support.

For example, when installed from GitHub (as opposed to from a prepackaged archive), the Flutter tool downloads the Dart SDK from Google servers immediately when first run, as it is used to execute the flutter tool itself. This also occurs when Flutter is upgraded (for example, by running the flutter upgrade command).

Is it possible to save files in the downloads folder? Can't find answer anywhere. I can save files on the Applications file directory, but i want to save the files in my Downloads folder. I have tried d/t packages( downloads_path_provider, ext_storage) but they dont support null safety or are not supported? Thanks in advance.

The other one is the bash terminal. So if you are using the Zsh terminal we have to create a file in the home repository which will be named .zshrc and for the bash terminal, the file will be named .bashrc . So this file is going to hold a script that will get executed whenever the terminal opens. To do that we will have to open this file in any text editor from the finder as this will be invisible into the terminal. And once this is open we will paste the below code in the file and replace the PATH_TO_FLUTTER_GIT_DIRECTORY with the path of the bin folder in the flutter directory and save the file.

In a similar fashion, as we have been doing for the other widgets, for Implementing the Writing widget, we have an ElevatedButton. When the button is pressed by the user, we retrieve the application's documents directory using getApplicationDocumentsDirectory(). We then create a File object with the desired file path, in this case, '$documentsPath/my_file.txt'. We define the content to be written to the file as a string, in this case, 'Hello, Scaler Topics this side!'.
