This Privacy Policy describes how Downloader (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our Android application on Android TV, phone, and tablet.

Downloader is a file download and management app. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app. Most data stays on your device. The only optional cloud interaction is QR phone pairing, which uses a backend service to relay download links you submit from your phone to your TV or tablet.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information stored on your device (local)
Downloader stores the following locally on your device to provide its features:
Download queue, progress, and history
Downloaded file locations and metadata
Favorites and short-code mappings (numbers linked to URLs you configure)
App settings (download folder name, browser preferences, backend URL, etc.)
Built-in browser data (cookies, cache, and browsing storage) if you use the browser — you can clear this in Settings
This information is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly use QR pairing (see below).
2.2 QR phone pairing (optional backend)
If you use QR pairing, the app connects to a backend service (default: https://tv-qr-downloader-backend.onrender.com, or a URL you set in Settings). During an active pairing session, the backend may temporarily process:
A device name you provide (e.g. “Living Room TV”)
A session ID and pair code
Download URLs you submit from your phone’s browser
Sessions expire automatically after approximately 10 minutes. Queued jobs are held in memory only for delivery to your device and are not stored long-term on our servers for profiling or marketing.
We apply URL policy checks on the server to block torrent, streaming manifest, and other disallowed link types.
2.3 Information we do NOT collect
Downloader does not require an account. We do not collect:
Name, email, or phone number through the app
Precise location (GPS)
Contacts, photos, or SMS
Advertising identifiers for ad targeting
3. Permissions and How They Are Used

Voice input is processed by your device’s speech recognition service (typically Google or your device manufacturer). Flagg App Company does not receive or store voice recordings on its servers.
If you tap Paste on the Home screen, Downloader reads the URL from your clipboard only to fill the download field. We do not upload clipboard contents to our servers.
5. Third-Party Services and Websites
When you download files or browse the web, you interact with third-party websites and servers chosen by you. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Third-party services involved in app operation may include:
Hosting provider for the optional QR pairing backend (Render)
Websites and file hosts you access for downloads
System speech recognition for optional voice search
Downloader is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
Flagg App Company does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may disclose information only if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights — and only to the extent necessary.
On your device: Data remains until you delete it, uninstall the app, or clear app/browser data in Settings.
QR pairing backend: Session and queue data is temporary and removed when sessions expire or the server restarts.
We use HTTPS for QR pairing when the configured backend URL uses HTTPS. Downloads occur over the protocols supported by the URLs you enter (typically HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use Downloader only for files and links you trust.
Downloader is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at flagapplicationcompany@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
Clear browser data in Settings → Browser
Remove favorites, history, and downloads from within the app
Disable notifications in system settings
Deny microphone permission (voice search will not work)
Uninstall the app to remove locally stored data
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us at flagapplicationcompany@gmail.com.
If you use QR pairing, download URLs and session metadata may be processed on servers located outside your country. By using this feature, you consent to that processing for the purpose of delivering links to your device.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Downloader after changes means you accept the updated policy.
