Co-op Connect is a secure communication platform designed specifically for Co-op students and teachers.
It provides a safe and organized space for:
π¬ Direct messaging between students and supervisors
π Weekly progress report submission
π’ Official announcements from teachers
β± Tracking co-op hours and placement updates
π Secure login using school credentials
This application helps streamline communication, reduce email overload, and ensure all co-op-related information is centralized in one professional system.
Co-op Connect is available on Windows, Android, and iOS for convenient access anytime, anywhere.
Co-op Connect does not share personal data with third parties.
All communication is limited to registered users within the platform.
Windows
Version 4.1 focuses on improving Windows integration and making Co-op Connect easier to access after installation.
Co-op Connect can now automatically create Windows shortcuts when the application is launched.
The application creates shortcuts in the following locations:
Desktop
Windows Start Menu
Windows Startup folder
A new Startup shortcut has been added.
After the user signs in to Windows, Co-op Connect can automatically launch through the Windows Startup system.
The startup flow is now:
Windows Login β Co-op Connect β Human Verification β Launcher
Co-op Connect now automatically creates a shortcut inside the Windows Start Menu.
This makes the application easier to find through Windows Search and the Start Menu without requiring the user to manually locate the .exe file.
A Co-op Connect shortcut is also automatically created on the user's Desktop for faster access.
The shortcut system automatically detects whether Co-op Connect is running as:
a packaged .exe application
or directly from a Python .py file during development
When running as a compiled executable, shortcuts point directly to the Co-op Connect executable.
During development, the shortcuts can launch the Python script through the installed Python interpreter.
Version 4.1 includes better detection of Windows system folders.
For example, the application attempts to correctly locate the actual Desktop folder even when Windows has redirected it through services such as OneDrive.
If a Co-op Connect shortcut already exists, the application updates it instead of intentionally creating multiple duplicate shortcuts.
This helps keep the Windows environment cleaner after future updates.
Shortcut creation is performed in the background so it does not delay or block the normal Co-op Connect startup process.
If shortcut creation fails for any reason, the main application is still allowed to start normally.
All features introduced in Version 4.0 and earlier remain available, including:
Human Verification
βI'm not a robotβ confirmation
Persian and English interface
Open in Browser
Open in App
Internal WebView
WebView browser fallback
Ping monitoring
Manual Ping refresh
Automatic Ping refresh
FPS display
Improved startup stability
The Windows application version has been updated from:
Version 4.0
to:
Version 4.1
Co-op Connect Windows Version 4.1 improves integration with Windows by automatically adding the application to the Desktop, Start Menu, and Startup folder while preserving all existing Version 4 features.
New startup experience:
Windows Login β Automatic Co-op Connect Launch β Human Verification β Main Launcher
Version 4.0 mainly focuses on adding a verification step before users enter the launcher and improving the overall startup stability of the application.
When the application starts, a Human Verification screen now appears before the main launcher.
The user must select:
I'm not a robot
and then click:
Continue
Until this verification is completed, the user cannot access the main Co-op Connect launcher.
The initial window structure was redesigned to fix issues where the application could fail to appear or seem like it was not launching.
In the new version:
The Human Verification screen and the main launcher use the same main application window.
The startup flow no longer depends on unnecessary extra windows.
The risk of the GUI becoming hidden or failing to appear has been reduced.
The launcher startup process is more reliable.
pywebview is now loaded more safely.
If WebView is missing or fails during import:
The entire application will no longer crash at startup.
The main launcher can still open normally.
Browser mode remains available.
The application can fall back to the default browser when necessary.
All major features from Version 3.2 remain available, including:
Persian and English language selection
Open in Browser
Open in App
Internal WebView mode
Ping display
FPS display
Manual Ping refresh
Automatic Ping refresh
Browser fallback if WebView fails
Bilingual Persian/English interface
The application now displays its version as:
Co-op Connect Windows v4.0
Start β Human Verification β I'm not a robot β Continue β Main Launcher β Browser / App
Version 4.0 keeps the previous launcher functionality while adding an initial verification layer and improving startup and WebView reliability.
Note: The βI'm not a robotβ feature in this version is an internal verification step and is not a real online CAPTCHA service such as reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile.
