Rupert, can you please help? I have the exact same problem. I have a Facebook group from last 3 years. From last 2 weeks, I am not able to go live inside the Facebook group from Zoom because the Facebook group name is not showing up in the drop down menu when I am trying to share Zoom to Facebook. I have followed the instructions in the images and the forum here, but I am still not able to solve my problem.

Hi Leigh. I am having that same problem of the Group not showing up when I try to do Facebook live despite going through all of these other steps. I cannot figure out what I left out because it works for my other groups. The one thing I don't know is when they said to follow the on screen prompts to authorize zoom to have access to the Facebook group. Maybe I missed that but I don't see any prompts do you have any other suggestions? Thank you so much

Would you have any idea why my groups are not populating on the Zoom/Facebook page prior to going live? I am an admin. for the groups. A list only populates under pages. In my screen share, I mentioned that I installed both the Zoom Developer and Zoom product apps. The Zoom developer app was removed from my groups. I checked after I made the video. Here's a screen share

This did work for me. But not on the first go.

When I first clicked the 'facebook security settings' link I got an error 200 'not authorized'.

Some time later I clicked 'facebook security settings' on a similar window, and then I saw the sequence of 'Zoom is requesting access' windows. Once I granted Zoom access, I find about 100 groups I can Livestream to, and I have to search to find the one I want.

I am the admin of the group

I have the most recent and paid version of Zoom

Zoom app is installed in my group

I see an option from Zoom to stream into that group and still it won't work.

What's the problem?

I have followed all these steps, and yet my own FB groups are not appearing on the drop down menu. (Bizarrely other groups are appearing.) I am admin, and the Zoom app has been added to the groups. I have also checked the permissions to post, and both my groups appear on that list. Streaming from zoom used to work perfectly, but it has suddenly stopped without me changing any settings at all.

Are there any other suggestions on what I can do, or why my FB groups are not appearing on the dropdown menu? I'm ripping my hair out over this! Thank you.

Hello,

I have been livestreaming to my FB group for more than 2 years now.

And one month ago when I tried, my facebook group does not appear in the list of FB groups. I did all those steps mentioned here. I am the admin of the group and the ZOOM app is authorized (I removed it and added it again just to check).

What else can I do?

I really need to find a solution to this issue.

Thank you in advance

I contacted Zoom Customer Services, they seem more lost than us...They asked me to change of browser and to check if there was a new update, and then they disconnected from the chat. Dis as suggested but not improvement. I guess that they have an issue and working on it. This issue hurt big time as well.

This week, I discovered another reason why users might have problems making this work. On the facebook side, when you are installing the Zoom app into your group, there are actually TWO Zoom apps. One is labelled "Prod", the other is labelled "Dev". However, if you don't pay attention it is easy to install "Dev" and this will not work. Make sure that you have installed the one marked "Prod".

I learned this the hard way.

I was able to get mine working from another's users response. When you click on More, and then Live on Facebook when the page that you use to type in the group comes up scroll down and click on the Facebook Settings to revoke access. Then when you see an edit link click that and you will see all the groups. Then deselect all and then search for and select only the groups you want to stream to.

I have been having this issue for months now and the steps from the screenshot just solved the problem. If you get an error 200 or 300, ensure you log in to your Zoom and try to perform the test live stream afresh. Although the initial steps given by @Rupert seem obsolete and may not be relevant now, try to navigate to Member and check your admin role is still in place. Cheers!

Thank you for your help.

How can I download the zoom pro app? I have always had the ordinary or bask zoom app and I have recently Subscribed for the monthly $11.99 USD payment but I have to go to google or safari and login in from there. Please help

Yes, Zoom tell me that since Facebook made changes to their streaming service three years ago, some users are prevented from live streaming to groups. The alternative is to use a custom streaming service (eg OBS, Streamyard, Be Live). Try also to clear your cache first and see if that helps.

Hello Sarah, before I can easilty live stream our zoom meetings to FB group, But now, I can no longer do livestream on fb group, although i can do live stream on my timeline or FB page.. How can i solve this problem on fb group

The company said Messenger Rooms will have default settings to protect meetings from intruders. People who create the rooms can control who is allowed to join. They can make a room open to anyone they are friends with on Facebook, or they can invite specific people.

The social network is likely to face skepticism over how it treats users' personal data, given its patchy track record on privacy. Facebook said it does not listen to or watch video and audio calls, but it will collect data from rooms "to provide the service and improve the product experience." It said it will not run ads in rooms, and audio and video won't be used for ad targeting.

People without Facebook accounts can join meetings from their Web browsers. Facebook said it will collect some information on them, including what device and browser they are using, and ask them to share their names to identify themselves in meetings.

Zoom Video Communications is facing increased scrutiny over customer privacy this month as New York's top prosecutor is probing the suddenly popular teleconferencing company's security practices during the coronavirus work-from-home movement. Zoom also is being sued in California for allegedly giving users' personal data to outside companies including Facebook without fully informing customers that's the case.

CEO Eric Yuan said company officials "were made aware" of Facebook data sharing last week, after a news report from Vice Media detailed the practice. Yuan said the sharing began after Zoom gave users the option of logging on via a Facebook Software Development Kit, or SDK.

While the coronavirus pandemic has spelled doom for many U.S. companies, Zoom is one exception. Workers are using it more to hold meetings as public health officials emphasize social distancing and shelter-at-home and work-from-home practices. School districts and university professors are using Zoom to continue classes during the spring semester.

The first two can be found back on the Facebook Live setup page (noted earlier), but the Live streaming page URL should be copied from your web browser for the Facebook page, omitting any reference at the end of the URL (see below). Copy this address into the final field above and click Go Live!

At this point, back on your Facebook Live video page, you should see the video from Zoom in the Video preview and the blue Go live button turn blue. Click the Go live button to make the video live on your Facebook page.

You can also stream a Zoom to a Facebook Page if you have a Pro Zoom account. This is how the Conference conducts its Facebook Live conversations, with multiple panelists all broadcasting from their own locations. Instructions are here. As long as you are streaming your Zoom to a public page on Facebook (as opposed to a personal profile), people can view that stream without having a Facebook account themselves. They will just need a link to the page. Facebook will also automatically save a recording of the stream on your page.

The simplest way to do a stream via Facebook Live is using a mobile phone or tablet - many iPhones and iPads and other devices have video cameras that produce better quality video than camcorders, especially when lighting is not ideal. For sound, you may be able to run an input cable from your sound system to your phone or device, or simply make sure there is no background noise that will interfere with using your device's built-in microphones.

Live streaming straight to YouTube from a mobile device is now restricted to channels that have at least 1,000 subscribers. Streaming can be done via webcam (which is generally someone sitting in front of a computer), or via a more advanced encoder system. More information is here.

Studio Switcher is a iPhone/iPad app that can connect multiple iPhones or iPads (up to 9) simultaneously for multi-angle live video. The app allows for real-time editing, including the ability to switch angles (choosing which camera is "live"), add text and icons, and add pre-recorded content to a live feed. Videos can be streamed to YouTube, Facebook and others. Comments from Facebook are shown right in the app while streaming so users can engage immediately. Studio Switcher has several plans, but the basic entry level plan is $39 per month. ff782bc1db
