this didn't solve the problem. Ubuntu 22.04 with zoom not reprting the correct version number of 5.11. What did help me is to download the debian package and installing it with gdebi. As @Jameswalter explained in his comment. He was right but you have to actually download and install the debian package. I am guessing you all know ubuntu is debian based.

I'm using Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS and, after reinstalling it, i'm having a lot of trouble withe the zoom desktop app, problems that i didn't have earlier. But for sure it is still not as good as windows regarding CPU and general performance.

Also if you have a good enough CPU you still can run zoom pretty nice on linux. It just consumes a lot of CPU which is not necessary.
