Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to integrate via tel: links (I do not see a field tel: link anywhere in our Docs)

We recently came across an issue where after a recent Zoom app update anytime a user clicked a tel: link from within the work profile the Zoom app was launched instead of the native dialer. We first looked into what changed within the app in the release notes. It was obvious that a change in 5.6.3 caused this:

Type the /zoom command into your message field on any channel or direct message. This sends colleagues a prompt to join a meeting. When the other person clicks Join, the Zoom window will open in their browser.

Hi, my edge direct call started to go to Zoom instead of the Phone app. I can't find any setting to change this. I made sure the default app is set to Phone, I tried resetting all the apps' preferences, I tried installing a third dialer app to see if I get a prompt... Nothing short of uninstalling Zoom seems to help, and when I install it back, even with all data and caches cleared, it still gets used. Any ideas to solve this are appreciated. I hate Zoom just taking over! Thanks

This is the most important part. Every rep needs to have it set up this way to make it possible to run the call blitz without disrupting anyone at the wrong time.

Our goal here is to have a setup where any rep can easily share their call real-time in case they have a live connect, while ensuring that other reps in the call blitz can't disrupt the rep's call (by accident or on purpose).

The way to do that is to have the sales floor audio live in everyone's headphones, while the dialer audio lives in the computer's built-in speakers.

This is to make it possible for a rep to easily share the live call with the rest of the team. Once a rep gets a live connect they can just "Unmute" in Zoom and the rest of the team will hear both sides of the conversation.

Both the rep's speech and the audio from the dialer will stream into her Zoom microphone.

To achieve that simply switch the computer sound output to use the built-in speakers:

The easiest way to have a good screen setup for a call blitz on Zoom is for each rep to have 2 screens. On one screen they do their dialing & prospecting and on the other screen they have Zoom. That ensures they can actually do their work, while also getting the feeling of being together with the team.

However, many reps don't have 2 screens, so the next best thing is to fit both Zoom and their browser with the dialer into one screen:

Zoom URL scheme: You can use the Zoom URL scheme to create a clickable link that opens the Zoom app and connects to a specific meeting. The URL scheme is "zoommtg://zoom.us/join?confno=MEETING_ID&pwd=PASSWORD". Replace MEETING_ID and PASSWORD with the actual values, and then use the HYPERLINK function in Sheets to create the clickable link. What you need to do is log into your account setting for zoom( in your browser at zoom.us), navigate to Account Management - Account Setting - Zoom Phone- and make sure that "Automatically Call From 3rd Party Apps" is enabled.
