Duel Monsters is a card-battling game in which players put different mystical creatures against one another in creative and strategic duels! Packed with awesome monsters and mighty spell cards, Yugi and his friends are totally obsessed with the game.

Many years later GX is still my favorite. I really liked how Judai started growing in each arc of the series, it was good character development. The first arc wasn't that good but it showed an "innocent kid" that didn't know that much of the world and then... well you know what happens in the second, Judai has to save the world with some of his friends and it starts getting darker. The third one for me is the pinnacle of the series, a lot of new and interesting characters, a LOT of character development (not only Judai's, even though his' is the greatest) and a great villain that became one of my favorite characters ever. And well... even though the fourth and last wasn't as good as the one before (at least in my opinion) it as a good way to end the series, we see the main cast graduating and becoming adults. with an epic duel at the end

Solomon Muto has a chance to appear in only 1/8th of game saves, via a random number generated at save file creation. Then, if the save file qualifies, there is a 1/256 probability after each duel that Grandpa will start appearing.[2] He awards the player certain cards after Duels.

A Communication Fusion can be performed using the Game Link Cable, while connecting to either a second copy of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark duel Stories or to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. This requires three Fusion Material monsters to be traded at once. The player gets to permanently keep cards that are fused using this method.

Many of these fusions require #103: "Job-change Mirror" as a catalyst. The monsters formed this way can be used as material when trading back to Duel Monsters I. See Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (video game)  Communication Fusion.

A Ritual Summon is conducted by activating a Ritual Card, while the player has three specific monsters on the field. The three monsters will be sacrificed and a new monster Summoned. If the three specific monsters were not on the field, the Ritual Card has no effect in the Duel and disappears from the player's Deck and chest afterwards.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark duel Stories sold 1.45 million copies,[3] making it tied for the 38th-best-selling Game Boy/Game Boy Color title of all time, alongside Tamagotchi and Game de Hakken!! Tamagotchi V2.

While magic and the supernatural does exist in the second show's universe, things like witches were usually limited to card characters. The Kageyama sisters, however, were three teenage witches who appeared in the Toei anime. They have a Hecate-theme deck, named after the ancient Greek goddess of witchcraft, complete with a Gorgon card. They try to steal Yugi's "Violet Hecate" card and end up dueling him and Kaiba.
