I am trying to test xenserver 7.6 (and xenserver 7.0) and installing it in vmware workstation (only for testing). I got seagate hard disk (1 TB) in my machine. When I boot xenserver 7.6 for installation, it throws an error, "This host does not appear to have any hard disks. If it exists install driver...... ". I checked xenserver hcl and xenserver 6.2 was listed for seagate. I downloaded xenserver 6.2 ISO, but it says booting from cd rom failed. It doesnt even go to installation part. Can someone please help me here?

XenServer is designed to run on bare metal, though there are some ways to do some degree of virtualization nesting. However, some folks have found ways to do this. See, for example, this video: =wgWoseywA1M

Thanks a ton Tobias. While installing i selected guest operating system as vmware esxi. I have seen lot of articles on internet installing xenserver in same way. So, tried it and ended up in the error. This time i selected linux and 3.X kernel version 64 bit and it worked.

Another favorite sandwich to have at home or on the go is classic ham, cheese, mayo + crunchy lettuce and the only thing I do to make it special is to coat the crunchy lettuce with a little salad dressing before putting it on the sandwich. A tiny bit of dressing goes a long way!!

A drink (a juice box, coconut water box, or bottle of water) is a great thing to put next to a cold lunch to keep it cold + then you have a nice cold drink waiting for you, too (this was my go-to on hot days at the farm).

Thank you for these wonderful ideas, and for reminding us how great cottage cheese is -- I always forget. And a "lunch carpool" for kids is such a brilliant idea! One day I will make mom friends... My current way of doing school lunches is to make mac and cheese, roasted sweet potato, steamed broccoli, and hard-boiled eggs every weekend, and then use those to pack my son's lunch every morning, along with some cut-up fruit and a container of granola. I worry it's boring for him to eat the same things every day, but the idea of packing a different lunch every day of the week is so overwhelming! Today for lunch I had toasted pita with leftover Greek takeout dips and I felt like Martin Short's character in Only Murders in the Building, so that was great ?

My parents both worked full-time when I was a kid. The first question I would ask them every single night when they came through the door was “what did you have for lunch today?” I always wanted to know. I always want to know what everyone had for lunch (am I a food blogger’s dream reader??). Knowing what someone ate for lunch tells you so much about their day, which tells you a lot about them. Knowing what my parents ate when I wasn’t with them made me feel more connected to them. I love lunch. I love thinking about it.

So why do so many of us have such a hard time figuring out what to have for lunch? Why do we end up buying unsatisfying lunches that cost more than we wish they did? Because time! Because work + responsibilities + school! Because…just life + the relentlessness of cooking and eating and figuring it all out every single day.

A stash of hardboiled eggs in the fridge makes lunch very quick and easy. One of my go-to snacks is a hardboiled egg cut in half + slathered with mayo + topped with hot sauce and/or everything bagel seasoning. This can easily turn into lunch by smashing this concoction on toast and maybe stretching things out with some vegetables, fruit, chips, or whatever other lunch sides you like that require little work. To take this with you, I recommend packing the hardboiled egg situation separately from the bread (or crackers or whatever you want to put it on) so things don’t get too soggy.

One of my favorite sandwiches to have at home or while hiking is toast with hummus, sharp cheddar cheese + sliced cucumbers + grated carrots that I’ve tossed with a tiny bit of oil, vinegar + salt. The carrots are almost like a slaw and a fun thing to add to any sandwich.

Then something to make it all a bit more substantial: leftover cooked beans, canned chickpeas, chopped leftover grilled chicken or something like that, a can of tuna, chopped hardboiled eggs, a spoonful of cottage cheese or hummus after I toss everything together….

Dressing can be whatever you want. When I take these chopped salads with me, I usually use an old mustard jar or any other small jar I happen to have and just fill it about 2 tablespoons of vinegar (any kind), 1/4 cup-ish of olive oil, sometimes a spoonful of mustard, always salt, pepper, a pinch of dried oregano, and a crushed garlic clove. Shake before dressing (I usually don’t eat the garlic clove but sometimes when I get home and am cleaning up my containers, I’ll throw the garlic clove into whatever I’m making for dinner).

One of my best friends grew up with a very efficient mom who did a ‘lunch carpool’ with some other parents/caretakers. This meant that once a week she made lunch for her kid and a few others kids, and the rest of the days she didn’t have to think about making lunch for her kid. I think this is so smart and a great example of community. I could see this working for any group of people, whether it’s children, coworkers, whatever.

I love to cook, but I have some items like a nice set of pans that I never use and tell myself I may want to use them later. What are some easy steps to find that distinction between want and need?

My beloved Pixma MG2200 printer/scanner has given up the ghost and I need to get rid of it. I've seen the question about other related devices, but not my specific one. Does the MG2200 have a hard drive that needs to be erased before I recycle it and if so, how do I do that?

I went out today to troubleshoot and realized that everything is in working order, but I had to press the button pretty hard to get it to chime. It felt odd too, I was expecting the normal in-out of pressing a button but there was no movement. Any idea as to what could be causing this or how to adjust it?

We also have a 2nd or 3rd replacement Ring Elite doorbell. The last one failed suddenly and was unable to be made to work again. Ours is hard wired, we also have a chime as even when it does work its not very loud and takes 10 seconds to 2 minutes or more to get through to our phones. Who ever heard of a doorbell where you have to pay a lot extra just to have a sound you can hear throughout the house!

All have needed far too hard a push on the button, such that we have missed deliveries, callers and important stuff frequently. Frankly we are fed up with the thing. It is not an Internet, wiring or installation fault. Its a very expensive and rubbish product which is not fit for sale. I know lots of people with these doorbells and they all hate them but feel incapable of effectively complaining as they just feel technically incompetent and that it will be their fault!

And not just bass. A lot of tracks also have hard panned drums and vocals. It's pretty annoying when listening to headphones, but even without it doesn't sound optimal. Why was this done? I'm talking about tracks from the 60s and 70s.

I also like to steam my eggs, as seen in my tutorial for 6-minute soft boiled eggs. This method is super fast because you only use about an inch of water, which comes to a boil very quickly. To make hard boiled eggs using the steaming method, simply let them steam for about 10-12 minutes. I also find that steamed eggs tend to peel very easily. See the steaming tutorial here.

Thank you!! I feel ridiculous but my husband and I could never do these right. Neither of us were taught how to cook by parents, much less boil eggs. We tried before to make hard boiled eggs using a different method and horribly failed and wasted a dozen eggs. This worked like a charm!!!!! My husband thanks you for his deviled eggs.

I can find no information in the product descriptions or in Google searches stating that this is just another marketing gimmick and that the drives really are enclosed.

Here's an example hard drive page on Amazon.

The marketing team sometimes doesn't produce any picture at all. If you do a Google image search for the image from the Toshiba page on Amazon you linked to, you'll find that same image for many other drives. It's basically clip art. There are so many models of hard drives, it's such an easily identifiable image and there's really not much marketable difference between the physical appearance of their guts (nobody really cares what the inside of a mechanical drive looks like at this point - it's on the same level as a picture of a DVD or, say, a piece of plywood on a home improvement store's web site), that many times there just isn't a special image, and stock art is used.

In scientific terms, water hardness is generally the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in water. But in layman's terms, you may notice water hardness when your hands still feel slimy after washing with soap and water, or when your drinking glasses at home become less than crystal clear. Learn a lot more about water hardness on the Water Science School site.

The simple definition of water hardness is the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in the water. Hard water is high in dissolved minerals, largely calcium and magnesium. You may have felt the effects of hard water, literally, the last time you washed your hands. Depending on the hardness of your water, after using soap to wash you may have felt like there was a film of residue left on your hands. In hard water, soap reacts with the calcium (which is relatively high in hard water) to form "soap scum". When using hard water, more soap or detergent is needed to get things clean, be it your hands, hair, or your laundry. e24fc04721
