I recently found my old YoKai Watch toy, it was a series one along with a bag full of medals. I had assumed the batteries would be dead and so I got more and as soon as I put them in, it worked. It played the searching noise, the watch opening noise but never reacts to medals. I slide them in and it's just silent. No "Eh Eh Eh!" Sound as if it couldn't use it (Such as a series 2 in a series 1 watch.). I remember I had used it in the past and it would sometimes play the sound of the medal but stop quickly. All four prongs are in it and besides that it works perfectly. Can anyone explain any ideas how to fix this?

There's a yokai watch 2 sale happening and I'm aware that if this is a sequel to the first one? Is yokai watch 2 a continuation of a story to the first one? Should I buy Yokai watch 1 first? Well, my suggestion is get Yokai Watch 1 - 3 any version to enjoy the whole story of Nate Adams as 11 years old boy in Yokai world adventure. My favorite is Yokai Watch 3 as it has better gameplay than the previous games.

Yokai Watch Blasters was okay but kinda repetitive.

Just give another chance for Yokai Watch 1 - 3, better you play from the first game to understand the adventure of Nate Adams in Yokai World. The gameplay of Yokai Watch games are more interesting than Pokemon games in my opinion as you have 3 vs 3 battle instead of 1 vs 1 Pokemon style which at least there is one Yokai can heal or support your team. Yokai Watch games are not turn based style so better watch over your Yokai team behavior.
