I have never had problems with Yahoo emails until I updated my anti virus on my HP desktop (windows). Yahoo will let me attach documents from my desktop and send them, but it will not let me preview them before sending them off. It is the same when I receive emails. I have to download the attachment before looking at it, isntead of just previewing it and decide whether I need it or not. It is very frustrating. I have updated my chrome browser, tried another browser, took my anti virus off and fire wall off, restarted my desktop. Basically all the advice I have read on google. The only thing I did not wish to try was deleting an extension in Chrome "McAfee webadviser", which manages my downloads. When I go to preview a word document I have attachment to an email for example, it says "we are having trouble previewing this file" and I have to actually download it onto my computer to view it which I do not need to do as it is already on my computer.Sometimes I like to just click on an attachment in the yahoo app to check I have added the correct attachment as i own my own business.

Add your Yahoo! account as an IMAP account. To do this, follow the steps in Add an account using advanced setup above using imap.mail.yahoo.co.jp for your incoming mail server and smtp.mail.yahoo.co.jp for your outgoing mail server.

Try sending email via the web: Many email providers let you access your email via a website. Sign in to your email account via the website and confirm that you can send and receive email there. If you can't, there might be an issue with your email server. Contact your email provider for support.

Try sending email from another app or device: If you have another email app or another computer or mobile device, try sending and receiving email from that app or device. If you can't, there might be an issue with your email server. Contact your email provider for support.

Check with your email provider about the status of your email server: If your email provider doesn't have a website and you can't set up your email on another app or device, contact your email provider to see if your email server is accessible.

Firewalls and antivirus software might prevent you from syncing your email and calendar events. Although we don't recommend permanently turning off security software, temporarily turning off the software will let you determine if it is preventing you from syncing your email or calendar events.

Third-party firewalls or antivirus software might prevent you from syncing your email and calendar events. Although we don't recommend permanently turning off security software, temporarily turning off the software will let you determine if it is preventing you from syncing your email or calendar events. Check the software documentation to learn how to temporarily turn it off.

If you still can't sync your email after removing your account and adding it again, you might need to add the account using advanced setup. For more information, see Add an account using advanced setup.

If you have a Google, Yahoo! Mail, iCloud, IMAP, or POP3 account, check the settings in the advanced mailbox settings to make sure they're configured to your email provider's specification. If you're using an Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, or Exchange account, you won't have advanced mailbox settings unless the account was set up using advanced setup.

Before checking your advanced settings, you'll need to look on your email provider's website, or contact your email provider, to determine the correct server settings. You'll need the following information:

Unselect the check box next to Use the same name and password for sending email if your provider requires separate authentication for sending email, and provide the outgoing server username and password.

An error 0x80072726 might be due to third-party firewall or antivirus software. Although we don't recommend permanently turning off security software, you can go to the software manufacturer's website to see if they have workaround steps, or you can temporarily turn off the software to see if that fixes the issue. If so, contact the manufacturer's technical support to find a way to access your email without disabling their software.

Attach files to your emails without waiting ages for them to upload. The app is speedy and lets you add documents, photos and videos to your messages before sending them. Give your emails a professional touch by including a digital signature. These options are well-designed, and the layout makes them easy to find and use.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3. I have killed the browser and restarted. Have rebooted the computer. It comes back the same every time. The yahoo mail works fine on chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer with no visible change from the way it has been but on Brave the display and functions are as described.

@Illiterate1,

I believe that @gsarvadnya was asking to see what your Shields settings were configured to for mail.yahoo.com specifically. Please login/visit yahoo! mail and open your Shields panel as you did in the image above.

I have 29 emails in my inbox when I scroll up/down I could access all the emails with default shield settings. In the previous post, you have mentioned you are able to view only 15 emails listed in a page. Can you try disabling shield settings? Also, are there any extentions installed in your profile?

There are many different types of email accounts you can add to Outlook, including an Outlook.com or Hotmail.com account, the work or school account you use with Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, and Exchange accounts.

You'll need to go to your email provider to get the app password. Your email provider will provide instructions on how to generate an app password for your email account so you can use it in email applications such as Outlook.

To add your email account to Outlook, depending on your provider you might need an app password, also known as an application password. This is a different password than your regular email account password. One way you'll know you need an app password is if you see the following message: 2-factor authentication is set up for your account. Please sign in using your application password.

With the newer versions of Outlook, you can add your Gmail account as an IMAP account without setting up two-factor authentication, and you don't need an app password. However, for increased account security we recommend enabling two-factor authentication for your Gmail account. This adds an extra layer of security after you enter your password by requesting you to enter a code from your phone to authenticate.

If you're using Outlook 2016 or an earlier version, or if you want to add your Gmail account as a POP account, you'll need to enable two-factor authentication and create an app password. You'll use the app password in place of your regular password to add your account to Outlook.

When you add your Yahoo account to Outlook Desktop you may see the Yahoo OAuth prompt. If you see this prompt, simply enter the password that you normally use to log into webmail. You can learn more here. If you do not see this prompt, you need to create an App Password as explained below.

Note: AOL and Verizon customers who need to update their account settings after AOL's recent change to their server settings should see the section Update your email settings in Outlook for Mac. When checking your encryption settings, make sure they're set to SSL, SSL/TLS, or Auto and not TLS only.

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security for your account. Each time you log in to your Gmail account from a new device, you'll receive a single-use code on your phone. Enter this code to complete the sign-in.

I have 2 desktops and 1 laptop. I bought the laptop with windows 10, use firefox and chrome and my 2 yahoo mail accounts no problem on the laptop, until a recent windows 10 update. Now I have no contacts and I can't manually insert contacts, it won't save them.I have 2 desktops both windows 7. I upgraded one in January. I don't normally use that computer so I was unaware of any yahoo mail issues. Desktop 2 is using version 18363.1016 while both the laptop and desktop 1 are on 19041.450.I finally gave in and upgraded my daily use computer to windows 10 yesterday 9/3/20. I now have no Yahoo contacts and it won't let memanually input them, it won't save them. So, Yahoo mail is affected on all 3 computers. I checked desktop 2 and there were no contacts there either.I called Microsoft support today, they did all kinds of things...I don't want to use the mail app, I want to use Yahoo mail. Oddly when I switched over to desktop 2 suddenly the contacts were there and everything worked fine . Nothing had been done to that computer...it is configuredexactly like the computer I use daily. The laptop and the desktop still do not have Yahoo contacts are are able to save contacts. No clue how I got them on desktop 2, no clue how to get them on laptop and desktop 1.HELP.Thanks

Depending on the cookies you save, this could be the right behavior. If you test this in a Chrome private window, does Yahoo log you in automatically? Private windows don't store cookies, so you can use that to see if they are the culprits.

I have been receiving Admin alerts from Microsoft stating: "We've detected users in your tenant may have had email messages unexpectedly deleted by the Yahoo mail app". The recommended action is to identify users and work with them to help them retrieve the emails.

Mail not playing nice with Yahoo Mail has been a problem for years, and which I have left multiple bits of Feedback hub. The most frustrating part for me is the Android version of mail does not have any issues with Yahoo Mail.

We went through multiple long periods of time where Mail would seem like it was connected to Yahoo mail, but wouldn't download or update mail that came in. That has been working right for a while, only for rich emails from some sources coming in as gibberish (I have posted feedback showing the actual emails multiple times in feedback hub). I don't use my Yahoo mail account a lot, it is mostly to keep my gaming accounts separate from my other emails, but it is annoying to see I got mail open up mail, get something unreadable that have to go on Yahoo's website to actually read it. If this isn't getting fixed I am probably going to consider finding a new mail client. ff782bc1db
