I have a ps5 controller, and I really enjoy using x360ce because I just need to install it and then forget about it, no need to start manually every time, and only begins when I'm playing the game it's installed in.

I am trying to do the same with playnite but when I install x360ce in the playnite folder and run it as administrator, it opens and just does not show anything. When x360ce does not detect a controller, the options are greyed out, but in this case, they are not even there. Idk what's wrong.

SOLVE: i had to manually picked the exe program file from the x360ce file, and of course setting the file in the editor \Epic Games\4.12\Engine\Binaries\Win64 and of course, thanks for your help and time

I don't know if this was just an oversight on my part not seeing this as an option previously, or if Steam made some changes to its native directinput controller support that one caused x360ce to stop working but alternatively better supported vjoy directinput natively in Steam.

Since then all my Steam fighting games have been working without a hitch. Actually better then they had with vjoy and x360ce. My only problem game at this point is Tekken 7. Tekken 7 I believe will only navigate the menus with the dpad not left stick and for the life of me I cant get the dpad to work.

I have an arcade cabinet with IPAC Ultimate and Ultimarc ServoStik as the joystick. The full license LaunchBox/BigBox and LEDBlinky, as well as vJoy, UCR, x360ce, and AutoHotKey are used. It all runs on Windows 10.

SFV is set up to run in LaunchBox via the Steam link. I had to use vJoy to create two virtual joysticks and then use UCR to map key presses created by the ServoStik and IPAC set up to the vJoy virtual sticks. I then had to go into the Steam settings to set up the controller mapping (as described above in this thread) for which I ticked the Xbox and generic gamepad options. I then used x360ce to have the virtual sticks recognised by SFV.

Problems I encountered along the way were many. Player 2 could be set up relatively easily. Player 1 was much more of a problem. SFV via the x360ce wouldn't recognise some of the key presses associated with the Player 1 joystick and control of the up and down arrow keys in UCR led to strange behaviour. I found that a reinstall of the virtual joysticks fixed that. SFV then would get confused and recognise Player 1 as both keyboard control and joystick control. To fix this, I had to use UCR to block all keyboard commands coming from the physical joystick and button set up. This meant that when SFV was exited and returned to BigBox, it wasn't possible to use the physical joystick and buttons to control the menu and select a new game. To fix this I used an ahk AutoHotKey script to monitor when the process "Street Fighter V.exe" finished to then do a taskkill on UCR.exe. It isn't possible to run a bat file to kill UCR on SFV exit (using the "Run on Exit" option in the Additional Applications tab for the game set up) as LaunchBox thinks that SFV (and other Steam games) exit earlier than it does (see other threads discussing this).

It is also important to have x360ce set up the dll files in the right folder. For SFV this is actually something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Binaries\Win64. The set up under the game controllers on windows shows the 2 virtual joysticks plus the IPAC. Some guides say to delete the IPAC board but that wasn't needed (in fact doing so makes the real and virtual joysticks unresponsive). UCR needed to have the key presses of the virtual joysticks set up as vJoy and not as an Xbox controller. I used the original version of UCR done by evilC and not the recent update by Snoothy.

I do have generic game controller and in the past was able to use it in Warframe with x360ce emulator. Problem is that now Warframe launcher deletes all files that this program create from game folder. I found an solution, on this forum, by setting created files to "read only", and it's works, but I'm hesitant to use my controller now, because I don't want to be ban. So, any clarification, especially from DE members, would be very appreciated.

I've tried to use the buttons and bar at the bottom of the x360ce application, I've went to settings database and attempted a save/load setup there, nothing for me has worked. Every time I try to load any profile (whether I click "save" or not), it automatically loads the default preset, not what I had saved it as.

X360/ONE Controller users. I assume your just here to add a flight stick or Wheel, But if you want your original controller to work too You will NEED to have it setup in x360ce or it will be IGNORED by the game.

Okay guys after being accepted into a RP community that doesnt allow client scripts, I cannot use the Manual Transmission mod for my G27. So to get it to work in some fashion I have finally figured out how to get x360ce Working with FiveM similar to how I use it for GTA Online. Its actually simpler than it seems.

I DO NOT go in depth with how to setup your controller, nor how to set deadzones etc. For that just get it setup for GTA single-player the way you like and test there. There are plenty of videos and explanations for this on Youtube. Then copy your x360ce.ini from that install!!

Now that you have x360ce all setup. double check that you do not have xinput1_3.dll anymore, if you do have this in this folder you can delete it after closing x360ce. It also causes some instability as you would be running two xinput instances. MAKE SURE THIS FILE IS NOT THERE!! Your folder should look like the first screen shot.

Please post back here if anyone finds better settings. Also, adjusting this for the G27 and other wheels should be relatively easy. Download the x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip file from and drop the extracted file into your NFS:Rivals folder, launch x360ce.exe and adjust accordingly. Mostly, we will just need the InstanceGUID changed within the INI file and possibly some buttons remapped.

The x360ce (Xbox 360 Controller Emulator) may not need any introduction to many in the gaming community. But we feel it should deserve a noteworthy review and basics as to the hows and why that this software exists. The reason why this software is handy and at times almost essential to play certain games is due to the way they are programmed.

First, we highly recommend that you download any binaries right from the source creator and not from some third-party blog like ours. Our mission is to try to keep everything as secure as possible but not everyone on the internet shares the same values as we do. So click here to go to the developer of the x360ce's website. The source website gives out the exe files directly with no requirement to extract anything. For those interested in a direct download without ever leaving this blog, we have created a link for you as well. Click here to download from our blog.

When you download x360ce it will come in two versions. a 32-bit and 64-bit version. This does not mean what your OS is as much as what your game is. Older games will be 32-bit whereas newer games like GTA5 will be 64-bit. This is why it's a good idea to get both of them set up in case one of them fails for a newer game.

The first thing that it will say is that it cannot find any of the xinput DLL files. This is normal. Let x360ce create DLL files off of your windows folder. It is going to modify them and store it in the directory that you launched the executable out of.

The next window will come up asking you what to do with the new hardware detected. In this case, we are using the TigerGame Xbox drivers with an original Xbox Duke Controller. Click next to automatically search the x360ce database for this. It should find this driver definition real quick since it's still classified as an Original Xbox controller.

We want to cover all of our bases if a game asks for both older version DLL files as well as the newer version. So click on Game Settings and click the box for v9.1 and v1.1 to v1.4. Then click Apply/Synchronize Settings for x360ce to make all of the DLLs in the folder.

Finally, we're going to paste those xinput files into the root of the game that we want this to affect. In this case Spelunky HD. As long as the input files are in the same folder the executable is at it should work. Upon running whatever game you are doing you should hear the default windows chime sound indicating that the x360ce driver is detected and running.

In the case of Spelunky, x360ce has allowed us to take a generic control and emulate that of an official Microsoft Controller. Your results are going to vary from game to game. Some games like Jamestown are older and are perfectly fine with xinput 1.0. No requirement for x360ce in that case.

Other games like Gang-Beasts support legacy joystick but the dead-zoning is non-existent leaving the character flying all over the map and using x360ce only makes it worse by having two players pressed instead of one. This all comes down to how friendly the developer is towards controller support.

After the installation of wine32, wine64 and wine-stable following the steps from this website and also winetricks, wine-mono and wine-gecko; I tried to run typing wine x360ce_x64.exe I got the error, then I tried with another file typing wine x360ce_x86.exe and I got the same error, the ouput is:

x360ce (Xbox 360 Controller Emulator) is a lightweight emulator that can mask the presence of various third-party controllers and make them visible to the OS like they are in fact a standard Xbox 360 gamepad that is fully compatible with the latest xInput standard for communicating with video game applications. The importance of apps like these has risen over the years, especially after the 2010s when almost every video game developer and publisher embraced the use of the modern xInput standard, which has left an incredible variety of older Direct Input-based gamepads without the ability to interact with modern games. This includes even popular models of gamepads produced by Logitech, Thrustmaster, and many other manufacturers. As of 2023, ... Read More  ff782bc1db
