Join us outside on the Quad for a doubles mini cornhole tournament on Thursday, August 24 at 1 p.m. Sign up solo or with a teammate here: hood.ws/hc-cornhole23. If you sign up solo, you will be randomly paired with a teammate. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up ASAP to hold your spot!

There is so much power in a pen (or a keyboard). Creating language to describe our lived experience is so transcending, turning abstract principles into discourse. I was reminded of this when I first heard about hood feminism. Blogger Jamie defines the parameters of her own existence and the ways in which she felt out of place in feminist spaces. She says:

How gorgeous is that?! I instantly fell in love and decided that I wanted our hood vent to be similar. I showed it to the hubs and to my surprise he actually felt like it was something that we could DIY- even without a tutorial! So here it is- our tutorial!

Wheelchairs

The Hood Museum of Art is accessible for visitors using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. The north entrance on East Wheelock Street is accessible and there is an elevator available inside the galleries. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan free of charge. Please inquire at the welcome desk. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in Gilman Auditorium.

Seating

Chairs and couches are available in Russo Atrium. Some galleries contain benches. If you wish to use a portable stool during your visit, please inquire at the welcome desk or ask one of the visitor services guides stationed in the galleries.

The reason for this letter is to officially welcome you and your student(s) to the JROTC Program. We are excited to have your student as part of this program, as we feel that we truly have one of the best programs this school has to offer! It will be challenging for them for sure! However, our intent in to make them well rounded, productive citizens that will be successful in life and give back to their communities. We are NOT a recruiting force for the military.

I would like to personally invite you to visit and tour our facility at any time you desire. You are more than welcome to sit in during a class and observe what your students are learning.
