Walla Walla's history starts in 1806 when the Lewis and Clark expedition encountered the Walawalama (Walla Walla people) near the mouth of Walla Walla River. Other inhabitants of the valley included the Liksiyu (Cayuse), Imatalamma (Umatilla), and Niimipu (Nez Perce) indigenous peoples.[7] In 1818, Fort Walla Walla (originally Fort Nez Percs), a fur trading outpost run by Hudson's Bay Company (HBC), was established and operated as an important stopping point in Oregon Country.[8] Abandoned in 1855, it is now underwater behind the McNary Dam.[9]
The food was very delicious and it was very healthy too. The taste is like home made food. The famous Indian beverage which was thumbs up was available in the kati roll wala. Very happy for this taste of food. The place is very good

I just got a takeaway saagwala last night and it made me wonder why it was called saagwala rather than just saag and then "curry" (I'm british so it was from a BIC takeaway) like all the others: "madras curry", "jalfrezi curry" etc. This was just on the menu as saagwala. Can wala mean curry as well as seller/vendor?
