They've been muting at risk (of dmca) parts of VODs for a long time. Its just not able to get 100% of songs.

But I would like to see the plans for improving it or offering more options like you suggested with cutting out specific parts of vods.

This would be amazing imo because it helps the steamers and the audience who watch vods when they miss the streams and also yes it would also help the international audience. I also watch streams from India which are from the US or the UK and most of the time it's really tedious because of the time difference

This sounds fantastic!

I'd love to use my channel points for several of my favorite streamers, but I can never get enough points due to several being live at once and having to choose one, timezone differences, or working. Being able to earn channel points from vods would be wonderful, and allow me, and many others I'm sure, to show support and interact more with streamers when I can catch the live stream.

I totally agree. I follow n Australian, being a european, so they're streaming while I'm still at work. However I almost always watch the vods ! And it's sad to think it's not being counted. Especially since I find it fun to compare channel points, it's like a tracking system for how long you've been watching!

I think you should get channel points by watching the vod of a stream if you missed the stream itself because of work or living in another time zone.

Of course you only should get points for recent vods and if you didn't watch the livestream.

As I live in europe and some of my favorite streamers live in the US, I often can't watch the livestream, but watch most of the vods. I don't think it would harm anyone and if executed correctly it can't be exploited.

I would love it if the ads on vods were the Stream Display Ads and just there under the content. I think those ads should be the only ones during vods, but if they were I'd be okay with them being there even more often.

I guess twitch really needs money, these ads when watching vods are literally insanely heavy. This isn't exaggerating every 10 minutes i have 3-5 ads each ranging from 15-20 seconds. The worst part is if i am having poor connection, i have to wait for the ad to buffer and it extends the 15-20 seconds to 40-60 seconds per ad which is absolutely insane. Please re-structure your ads for non-live videos. Maybe ill enjoy my experience more and actually pay you guys monthly to not have ads. THANKS.

Interesting how after 2 years they still haven't addressed the ad volume issue, it's a really easy algorithm of taking the average volume of a vod and adjusting the ad volumes appropriately. Ads also still appear in random places in vods, ruining the experience. Ads are coming up like once every 10 minutes at least now. Absolutely terrible, they are abusing their oligopoly on the streaming market.

Have you ever wanted to watch old twitch streams? If so, you should know a few things before watching past twitch broadcasts. The first thing is that Twitch doesn't archive past broadcasts for public viewing due to storage and restrictions. That means the only way to view twitch VODs from years ago is if they were recorded by someone else or if they have been re-uploaded to a mirror site or YouTube. This blog post will discuss ways to find old twitch videos and watch them in 2022. ff782bc1db
