If the domain is listed in your video settings page, but the error is still appearing, the domain specified in your address bar may be different from the domain sent to the Vimeo player. In these cases, a privacy error may appear. Contact a web developer to confirm if there is anything in your site's HTML code that could be blocking the referrer from reaching our player iframe.

I have the same issue with the Anti-tracker and Vimeo videos, if their privacy settings are set to certain domain. I've figured it out, when our online courses stopped to work for people using Bit deffender. Would it be possible to fix that issue? Is there any coordidation with Vimeo required?

Download Vimeo Because Of Its Privacy Settings This Video Cannot Be Played Here

My wife is enrolled in a course, and she has access to some videos on a website. To view them, she needs to log in to the website using a username and a password. When inspecting the web page where she can watch the video, it looks like the video is hosted on Vimeo. When trying to access the video on Vimeo, I get the message: Sorry, Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here.

Is there any known way to download private Vimeo video from external site? I bought a WordPress course on a site which uses Vimeo player for the videos. Ive tried all plugins on Chrome, iTube Studio application but nothing works here. I copy the link from the page source "player.vimeo.com*" but when trying to open it in the new tab it only says that the privacy settings does not allow to open it. Also none of the Chrome plugins seems to work, I mean they discover the elements of videos but each of downloadable videos has like 200kbs and does not work in the end.

I am trying to use the Insert Video from Website feature in Storyline 360 and embed video links from Vimeo. I am getting a privacy error on all of the videos saying "Sorry. Because of privacy settings, this video cannot be played here" when I try to preview in Storyline or when I publish to Review and try viewing there.

I have some Storyline projects that I am embedding into a Rise course. These Storyline courses have videos in them that are on my Vimeo site. Yesterday and days prior they were playing just fine. Now all of a sudden they won't play in Review 360 or in the final Rise course. I get messages from Vimeo stating:

"Because of its privacy settings, this video can't be played here" I have all videos allowing the following domains to embed the video:

articulateusercontent.com

rise.articulate.com

360.articulate.com

There are videos embedded directly into the Rise course that are playing from my Vimeo site, but it seems the ones in the Storyline project won't play. Any idea what is going on here?

Just ran another experiment. Took one of the blocked videos and embedded it directly into a Rise course. It plays just fine. However, when the same video is launched from within the Storyline file or is being reviewed from the Storyline publishing on Review 360 it says it is blocked by privacy settings in Vimeo. Consequently, this sounds like a Storyline issue, right?

One more piece of information. When I get the dialogue box that the videos can't be played on this site (Review 360 or Rise), there is also a button that gives the option to "Watch on Vimeo". If I click the button, I can jump out of the Storyline project and play the videos on Vimeo.

It says that the video cannot be displayed because of it's privacy settings. The screen where the video should be is black, and says "Sorry. Because of it's privacy settings, this video cannot be played here."

However, when viewing using iOS, the Vimeo domain privacy is not working. It simply says "Sorry Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here". So I'm I believe H5P not sending the right referrer?

To fix this problem check the addons you might be running. Usually addons that modify cookies are the culprit. If you have Privacy Badger, disabling it helps. Also check Chrome settings to change privacy settings if necessary. If all else fails, try switching to a different browser to see if it works.

I am have a list of Videos that are stored on my SharePoint site in a list, when I am trying got play the videos I am getting a error saying "Sorry Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here" it's weird because on production I don't have the list with the same permissions and everything work fine. Thanks

On #ViradaHacker on the first day of April was descrybed a way 1 to watch a private vimeo video. That was a fast and resumed approach about that matter, however, through the page on facebook do LampioSec, e-mail and telegram, we have received some requests and incentives to make a more detailed post, to show the theory behind the scenes of the whole process. So, as response to this people and our own will to help the community how ever we can, it took time but here it goes.

We use the hCaptcha anti-bot service (hereinafter "hCaptcha") on our website. This service is provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., a Delaware US Corporation ("IMI"). hCaptcha is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a login page or contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, hCaptcha analyzes the behavior of the website or mobile app visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website or mobile app visitor enters a part of the website or app with hCaptcha enabled. For the analysis, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website or app, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to IMI. hCaptcha analysis in the "invisible mode" may take place completely in the background. Website or app visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place if the user is not shown a challenge. Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (DSGVO): the website or mobile app operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam. IMI acts as a "data processor" acting on behalf of its customers as defined under the GDPR, and a "service provider" for the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
